The Wythe Hotel
Just one-stop L train ride from Manhattan is this industrial-chic, five-star hotel that gets rave reviews and draws excited crowds. It’s set in a former 122-year-old factory building that once produced barrels. The hotel is just a few steps from the Williamsburg waterfront with dramatic Manhattan views.

Bar Blondeau

Take in this scene from its bright sixth-floor rooftop at Bar Blondeau; one of two French-inspired venues in the hotel led by noted chefs, Jake Leiber and Aidan O’Neal. A seafood menu is served here, blending Portuguese, Spanish and French flavurs. It is magnifique!
La Crocodile
The other venue inside the hotel, opened in 2022, is Le Crocodile. You’ll find it on the ground floor located like a happy plant surrounded by distinct New York City charm: exposed brick walls, high ceilings, arched windows and detailed tile flooring.
Settle in while ordering the leeks with vinaigrette and hazelnuts alongside a cherry kiss cocktail (local vodka, cassis, lemon, cacao, moleto) while you browse the menu filled with classic French hits: steak frites au poivre, French onion soup, and the like.

This summer, we invite you to experience Brooklyn through the eyes of our wonderful team. We live, work and play in Brooklyn, and are excited to share some of our favorites.
72 Hours in Brooklyn: Summer Edition
It’s rare for a hotel to so completely exemplify the character of the neighborhood it calls home. Here, at Williamsburg’s Wythe Hotel, that means a location between McCarren Park and the gentrifying waterfront, in a 1901-vintage factory building that’s been lovingly (but not too thoroughly) renovated.
In the kitchen, it means a bit of Brooklyn culinary royalty: Aidan O’Neal and Jake Leiber, of the beloved Chez Ma Tante, are the chefs behind Le Crocodile, a neighborhood brasserie serving earnest French fare in a setting inspired by their Parisian and New York favorites.
(The Bar Blondeau, on the 6th-floor allows an unobstructed view of the Manhattan skyline.)
Rooms are comfortable, even spacious by New York standards, and while they stop well short of proper luxury-hotel territory, they’re perfectly suited to the setting and clientele. Prices are more reasonable.
Admire the floor-to-ceiling windows, distressed brick walls and subway-tiled bathrooms strike just the right note.
There’s a lot of pleasure to be found in the tactile details of the place — the fixtures, the finishes, the bath products and even the minibar items display an admirable attention to detail.
We could go on cataloguing the details to make our case, but at this point you’ve simply got to visit, even stay over night and experience it for yourself. (You can hardly miss it, what with the fifty-foot “Hotel” sign that towers over Wythe and North 11th.)
How to get there:
Wythe Hotel is a quick 7-block walk from the Bedford Avenue subway stop, which is less than 10 minutes on the L train from Union Square in Manhattan.
Wythe Hotel is the original boutique hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, focused on culture, food, community, and warm, genuine service.
We are staunchly local, and mindful of our role in Brooklyn’s proud history. We welcome and live amongst cultures from all over the world.
We invite you to experience Brooklyn through the eyes of our wonderful team. We are excited to share some of our life long memorable experiences with YOU!
