More About What I Do and Results

I am the almost legendary (joking) Chiropractor who was living in Carcar City, and decided to relocate to Argao; a lovely community of approximately 70,000.

Presently I take afternoon appointments at SPRICE café across the street from Wilkris Appliance & Furniture dealer. (branches in Carcar and Argao and others.) See my hand drawn map and travel directions  (soon)  Don’t panic. Every tricycle driver in town knows Wilkris.

Everything I do is natural. I do not use pharmaceuticals and am not qualified to do so. Sometimes I might recommend an anti-inflammatory medication. I always say, the Pharmacist is a good source of information for you. They know what is good, what MDs recommend, and what is selling. Don’t expect a drug to cure your spine. That has never happened.

  • I only request x-rays from a hospital in cases where I suspect major damage from a terrible accident, or I suspect bone disease.
  • I do not use a drop piece table and powerful thrusting. My methods use pillows under you to shape the spine to it’s natural curves. I begin massage (all patients remain dressed)  and as I work I move spinal vertebra gentley. No one experiences pain. This technique gets very good and long lasting corrections.
  • Each visit runs about a half hour in total.

Your spinal cord extends from your brain. It also has memory cells in it, which tend to hold a muscle tension pattern that was useful after you got hurt, twisted, or in the problem you have now.

Get your spine moved into its correct position a few times with massage to help restore the normal pattern and allow the spine to remain positioned properly.

My experience has been, if you follow this general schedule idea you’ll get well naturally, normally, and you will tend to stay in proper spinal alignment if you have not ignored your spinal problems for many years.

I’m searching for a cottage that can become my home/office location. For now, I’m working in a corner of Sprice cafe. Everyone watches me work for a while and then they ignore it and continue their conversations.

Every patient remains dressed. They lie on my massage/Chiropractic table. I use a technique that gets your body to tell me what it needs. I almost never need X-ray photos. I’ve practiced this way since 1977, saw about 18 patients daily. That totals to over 100,000 visits.

I combine Swedish/Classic Massage through your clothing and as I feel muscles relax, I can gently adjust the spine by hand, as has been done and expanded since the late 1890s. No one gets injured. (Injuries are extremely rare for most American trained Chiopractors.)

From age 27 to 50 I saw approximately 4,680 patient visits per year spanning 23 years; that comes to 107,640 visits. No one ever said I caused an injury. Chiropractors who adjust very hard should learn to use classic massage, and adjust vertebra WHILE they are massaging.

Daniel D. Palmer and  his son BJ Palmer were good men with a great idea. They moved the spine somethings with very power thrusting.  Those were the days from 1895 – 1930s. Their major mistake was ignoring muscle balance. We’re in a new century now.  We are moving forward to great improvements and getting far better long-term results! There is no need to slam vertebra into place with powerful thrusting. With the methods I use, the vertebra slip into place gently, and stay in their place longer.

Using pillows under the patient to return the spine to its natural healthy shape, the patient can relax. The table I have is built to accommodate various body shapes including the woman who is a bit “top heavy.” Everyone can rest comfortably.

There is no licensing for Chiropractic in The Philippines but just to be extra sure that I might not violate a law, patients remain dressed and I call myself a manual back-pain therapist. The qualifications page displays my degrees and license.

Leave money only if you think I did a good job. The suggested DONATION is P500 per visit as cash. Some are generous and leave more which really is helpful to me and my family.  We accept cash for payment only…No bank cards or QR codes. Set an appointment, during your first visit, tell me about your health history and present pains, let me look at you standing to make notes on my chart. Your body stance tells a story.

Muscles that are not working at full potential for normal motion are pointing to the joints to which they attach. Thus, the “postural analysis” is an excellent first diagnostic tool.  I do a few muscle tests to help your body tell me what it needs.

The training chiropractors receive teaches all the parts of each bone. We know what bone and surrounding flesh we are touching. We know what it should feel like and what is not quite normal tells us more about its misalignment direction. A gentle nudge to retore its position is all we need and is usually the best, longest lasting treatment. This is even more true for car accident and whiplast patients.

I don’t speak for all chiropractors. I visualize your spine as I work on it. Drawing lines on x-rays can lead to an inaccurate diagnosis and an improper attempt at adjusting the spine.

I was “a technique freak.”  In college I looked in at many clubs took many seminars, and considered many different techniques. What I wanted was the skill to care for patients in a low technology environment, in the dark, on a floor or the beach, or on a forest log, a picnic table, or on a sailboat. I’ve helped in many places, nearly anywhere.

Contrary to various ideas patients have, the older diagnosis techniques work beautifully. The modern x-rays you have been taught the doctor must have are inaccurate and unnecessary.

Some new patients assume that what they experienced somewhere in the US is the ONLY way to treat a spine. There are more than 200 different seminar teachers and they each teach their own alternatives. The more complicated they can make it, the more they involve x-rays and various physical therapies, the more they can justify a higher charge per visit. I am convinced the same can be said about physical therapy instruments.

My advice is to experience 5 – visits in my little place spanning a month or two, and then tell me your opinion of my work compared to the high-tech doctors you visited in the US.  I expect most of my visitors will be very happy to have my help and they can honestly say, “the donation is more than fair, and I recommend him in social media.”
