What’s wrong with advertising in Google and Facebook?

I’m so glad you’re asking. Let me explain to ye. Firstly, you’re spending money and in such a mass of other advertisers no one really sees you. Getting and staying on page 1 is nearly impossible unless you pay a small fortune as a “sponsored” advertiser.
Lately I looked up “Bridal Shops on Long Island, NY” and Google came up with millions of them on a great many pages. This sort of search is not helping you or any of them very well. I think paying for this, or paying Yoast to improve your Search Engine Optimization ratings is little better than throwing money away.
What I’m doing is sorting through the best. I give the reader the name lcation so it’s easy to see if that is the location to which she’s willing to drive. Google is not doing that.
Google reachesthe entire world. You are paying to potentially reach several Billion people who don’t live in New York. Now, I want to know…. “How many people from Uganda, Yemen, Israel, Madegascar, India, and Pakistan are coming to visit you this month?” I hope one or two from Israel but probably not many others. Why are you wasting your money reaching people who hate all things Jewish?
My honest opinion is; Google and Facebook are a grand deception yielding little to noting for most of us.
Probably you never had a really clean, good looking venue like a Shopper’s Magazine that reaches New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut and even some in and around Boston.
And I’m probably offering this at a lower cost to you than Google and Facebook. I offer you weekly specials pages, a blog, and an upcoming social medium in which you can advertise all at ridiculously low prices.
Yes, you have a website but how do you get local people to SEE it and want to return repeatedly? That’s what my marketing work is about. I focus on New York City Area residents through social media and via other methods.
New York City Area Shopper Magazine is
- the right medium
- at the right price
- in the right location
- with the right message
- for the right people who want to hear from you and hear your message.
- And the magazine includes beautiful photos and interesting articles about personal health care, traveling for local vacations, and even “advertorials.” if you want one published for your business, it can be arranged.
- And I’m not afraid or ashamed to say that my parents are Jewish and I am Jewish and very pro Israel. I was raised in Bayport, on Long Island.
- As an E-zine, this online magazine is never wet, muddy, snow-ruined, smelling badly or suitable for the trash can.
You won’t get this from the New York Times or New York Newsday or any of the other local papers or paper magazines.
Facebook business pages are confusing and restrictive, It’s awful to have such restrictions such that you can’t do anything with the page to make it look better!
Yelp is bare bones-restrictive and I personally think it’s ugly.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, in this Shopper Magazine there’s a web page counter (bottom left corner) so you can see and know how many people are looking at your ad in the NYC Area. You’ll probably see a web page counter at the bottom of this page too.
With those kinds of numbers and this sort of focused advertising these ads do not cost you. They PAY you. You earn a profit from the work I do. It’s my job to SELL Your product or service to others.
I’ve done a lot of thinking about this letter. It comes back to scratch at my mind again and again.
Let’s get down to brass tacks about the US Economy.
The official report is that there is 4.5% unemployment.
Let’s assume that is all lies and really there might be 25% unemployed.
That leaves 75% of the nation working. New Yorkers are resilient people. They will wake up every day and go to work regardless of the bad reports.
New York Area Shopper Magazine will be there to help small businesses have more customer traffic, grow more, and hire more unemployed people.
Helping New York City and Long Island become more economically prosperous has been my intention from the beginning.
The best things you can do are
Advertise in the magazine to benefit your business, and make yourself more prosperous.
Grow a bigger customer base,
Earn more,
And hire more help.
Even if you were paying $400/month, could you hire someone to run around Manhattan and Long Island promoting you for $100 per week? Of course not.
Can you buy any other medium like this one for such a decent price? I think “No, not now, and unlikely in the future.”
I’ve been involved in sales, advertising and marketing since age 15. I’ve been training in it nearly all of my 74-year -long-life!
Please for your own good, get into the game with me. Market yourself the right way and don’t let those Facebook and Google kids deceive you.
