The Outrageous Mistake

Clinics Are Making

Mrs Fright is in a panic. Her “Mister.” Is complaining for the third time in the past two days about severe chest pain. She wants to talk to a doctor.

Mister thinks it’ll be too expensive. He knows nothing about insurance or what insurance they have. He is his usual grouchy self, growling “No, no doctor.  Grrrr” What does Mrs. Fright want RIGHT NOW???

If you’ll take a look at a web pages, which we call a “detail page, I have produced you’ll notice something immediately.

Let’s use this example from one of the most highly respected cardiologists on earth.  This doctor of considerable renown is a specialist in the treatment of cardiovascular disease with more than 33 years of experience providing meticulous care to patients, and he has the qualifications to prove he knows what he’s about. Look HERE.

A great many clinic managers and young people who imagine they are advertising copywriters are making the same mistake.

They don’t realize they’re making a gigantic, and expensive mistake. They don’t even think about it.

I see many brilliant doctors with a list of qualifiecations that leaves me amazed.

Well….probably I’m a third of their intelligence. But, with all of the psychology you probably have studied, did you ever ask yourself, “What is the immediate motivation?”

“What does that reading prospective patient want most immediately?”

Do they want to know all the details that many doctors have had written about them?

No, by survey we know that most patients simply trust that the doctor has his/her license and is qualified to help them.

Mrs. Fright might read all of that later. Right now, she wants to know, “Who Can I Call RIGHT NOW!!!???”

Mrs. Fright (who is chronically frightened and has been most of her life) wants to talk to a doctor or at least a receptionist at your clinic right now. RIGHT NOW.

The phone number is not in immediate view on your pages. It’s in there somewhere, at the end of all the list of qualifications.

Mrs. Fright is so upset, she gives up looking and dials 9-1-1 and we know that means Mr. Fright will get any doctor the emergency services people can assign to him.

He should be seeing one of your specialists. He is not, he will not, because the phone number is in the wrong place!

In many cases, there’s a link that says “Make an Appointment” but no phone number, and no one to talk to.

Mrs. Fright is afraid she is watching her husband’s last moments and she’s burning up with RAGE because there’s no phone number in plain sight.

How many other important details can I apply to bring more customer traffic to your specialists?

After 59-years studying and working in the advertising and marketing business, If I listed all of what I know, you’d be agast ––- at what you’re missing!

Please don’t miss any more because with today’s economic problems getting more patient traffic can make a huge difference in what you and your doctors earn for the rest of their career.
