Sarge’s feels like the classic Jewish deli and a classic 1960’s diner in all the best ways. Get a corner booth, so you can stretch out, and settle down for a long meal and a long talk of gigantic proportions.
Everything here is oversized. Consider the “appetizer” portion of stuffed cabbage said to be enough to serve four adults (this is an appetizer?) Then there is the open-faced, melty-cheese-covered sandwiches.
I especially like the #20, a tower of corned beef and pastrami on grilled rye bread, covered in broiled Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. You’ll be full after this, but get the cheesecake anyway.

We are the true New York deli experience and the number one place for so many old world specialties, including our in-house cured corned beef and pastrami, homemade matzo ball soup, and cheese cakes.
I don’t know…. I didn’t count. Their Dine In menu looks like more than 100 dishes. I wonder how they can remember and do all of this.
