Notes to Photographers

Hello New Friend,   

As you see from my cover page, I crave big, beautiful, colorful, eye drawing photos. I know it take a long time and some serious money to learn to be a fine photographer.   I want photos of beautiful New York and New England Travel scenes, and sports, and pretty women displaying dresses and businessware, and products. 

It is positively shocking that jewelers in the diamond district charging high prices for fabulous pieces, do not call on product photographers who specialize in photographing jewelry. How about YOU? Are you willing to make the time to get a light box, and work with different colored background and take photos of fine jewelry? I think you’ll find a good living doing this and it’s pleasant work among well mannered, intelligent ladies and gentleman.

There’s a huge need for more fashion photos. Dresses, Fur coats and stoles, everything from underwear and bedroom lingerie on women or on mannikins, to scarves, hats, gloves shoes, and of course dress a woman in beautiful clothing and bring her to a prearranged jeweler to shoot photos there while the salesman and a security man relax and enjoy the show. Get a cosmetics beauty expert involved for make-up that fits the mood and the market to which we are reaching.  

I Love outdoor photos, wildlife photos, and you can do more with home furniture photos and video clips inside merchant locations. I knew a man in Florida making a fortune doing this. I’m certain You can too!

Businesses that need more photos and advertising include hair and cosmetic skin salons, merchants, and salons attached to hotels. Merchants in ethnic NYC neighborhoods; the list seems endless.

You don’t know what to say to start a conversation? No problem! I can teach you. I’ve spent years as a successful walking, talking business-to-business salesman working for magazines and small newspapers. 

I’d be grateful to have your help to get photos and big ads for restaurants that are busy, lively, and active, where people obviously are enjoying their time.

The Singapore Chinese people who want to display an empty room with dressed tables and no people are telling me that their food is poison and no one comes here! There are many really nice people in Singapore (I have a Singapore site that needs more attention).

My experience shows that most of the people from Southeast Asia know nothing about signage, marketing, advertising and sales. These markets are waiting for you, particularly if you are Chinese and understand the language and culture! They don’t know anything about sales psychology. All they know is to scream about the price. YOU must help them! When you do you’ll be their hero and we’ll paid for your work. 

When you get into this work and discover that you love it, I can point you to people in the marketing and ad business who can help you get more photo shoots and more income. 

What would I want for your advertising? Well….I’d be happy to expose your work and charge you next to nothing. We’re helping each other and why not? If you’re starting with nearly nothing, this is a good way to begin.

If you prefer to simply buy better and more advertising, we can do that, and you can pay a reasonable price. We can negotiate about it. I need a small sum to set up the pages and get your final approval and then a monthly fee of just $35 is a very reasonable price. I invite you to call around to other magazines and papers and see what their prices are. Make notes and compare.

We can sell for you from an online store. We’ll do the heavy lifting, we’ll handle the technical Internet website developer stuff, you don’t have to worry about any of that long labor and expense. You won’t need your own website. We’ll set up enough information on a long page to cover all that your reader wants to know. We pull in the big readership numbers, you reap growing monetary benefits. Ask yourself now, “If I had a website, how would I get a lot of people to see it?” Solving this problem is much more difficult than you suspect.

We can sell and get a commission, or you can have your own arrangement with your own credit card gateway and the money goes to you. I must charge something for building the web pages and changing them as you offer more for the readers to see, but we’re talking about $50 to set up ads on the cover and in a photographer’s section and they link to a big page for you.The big page ranges from $30 and a bit more for longer pages or a 2nd and 3rd page displaying your photos and your ad copy (ad copy is words) or $60 for me to write copy for you from the notes you send me. (I have been doing and studying this for years and I understand the elements and the phrases and words that sell best. Most of the young people in the business make every mistake in the book! I’ll help you have more callers and much more income.

I can embed videos on your page too. Place your video at YouTube or Rumble and now you have your video displayed on your web page. Produce more videos and I can point viewers to your “channel” to see more of what you have been doing. This can open many doors of opportunity for you.

Can you picture in your mind’s eye, having an ad on a magazine cover, and a big advertorial article in the magazine WITH an imbeded video, all set up for under $100, and maintained for about $50/monthly? No magazine or big newspaper would even consider such an offer. They’d laugh and say, “We’re not for you. Thanks for calling. Try another time. Goodbyefor now.”

When you consider how large our audience is, and the growth the magazine is getting, you will realize we can do much more for you than you’ll ever beg, borrow, or pay, for running ads on Google or YouTube. Our audience is growing larger and will continue to expand. If we’re not big enough for you yet, just check back every now and then. When we hit your goal number contact us. But, of course if we are the size of CN-Traveler we’ll be charging more by then, too.

We provide several services to put your ad before more people who want photos for everything from receptions to weddings and even music, acting and dancing performances.

When you explore this thought further, you come to “the big realization” that this magazine offers you much more, and a price so low, no other magazine or newspaper will even consider competing with us.

We don’t horn in on the territory that CN-Traveler works in, or that the New York Times inhabits, and they don’t deal with small businesses that I love to serve.

The worse the economy gets, the more opportunity there is for you, because small businesses need to reach more potential customers at a reasonable price. People who have been laid off, will apply their skills working for themselves. But who will help them advertise? He’s a roofer, plumber, glass man, car mechanic. What does he know about advertising and marketing? Nothing! He needs help and You and I can be paid to provide it.

Why would I know? My father worked himself to death dry-cleaning clothes in our shop in Patchogue, NY. He started in the late 1940s and continued until around 1976. He was paid something like $1.50 for a suit, or 35 cents for a pair of trousers. I worked in and watched the management of several small businesses. I know something about small business problems and about selling to small business owners.

You can’t find an 18-year-old off the street at minimum wage who sells, or writes as well as I do because he has no such training or experience. My training began at age 15. My first “sales experience” began around age 9. 

You need someone with the mental tools to use to meet the needs and solve the problems of these small business operators.

These business managers want to serve one another, single households, and families, including small family businesses.

You should be involved, because the money is out there, and the movers of that money simply don’t know that you exist and are offering to help them.
